Dirt Pebble Text EffectIntroduction: In this tutorial, we'll learn to create a dirt pebble text effect to use in your design projects. This is especially useful for design projects that relate to off-road or rural type themes.Step-By-Step: 1. Open a new document in Photoshop. Choose a size big enough to type your text on. 2. Select the Type Tool and type out whatever you want. Name this layer of text "Dirt Text". ![]() 3. Open the layer properties for the "Dirt Text" layer. 4. Change the properties for "Drop Shadow" to the following: ![]() 5. Change the properties for "Bevel and Emboss" to the following: ![]() 6. Change the sub-properties of Bevel and Emboss for "Contour" to the following: ![]() 7. Under the sub-properties of Bevel and Emboss for "Texture", choose Satin: ![]() 8. Change the sub-properties of Bevel and Emboss for "Texture" to the following: ![]() 9. Change the properties for "Color Overlay" to the following: ![]() 10. You should now have an effect similar to the image below: ![]() 11. Now right click the "Dirt Text" layer and Rasterize the Type. ![]() 12. Select the Eraser Tool and begin erasing the text into small pebbles. Use the texture as a guide on where to erase. ![]() 13.
